This past week I lucked into obtaining some wood fresh off the lumber mill. My shop is a garage but I didnt have space to lay all this wood flat on the floor. So I took a week off from building my guitar in order to make a wood rack. It’s a simple design I have three, nine foot 2×4’s with one end screwed into my rafters and the other end resting on the concrete floor. From there I came out as far as I could without hitting the garage door tracks. Then I put eight foot 2×4’s as the front. Finally I made shelves so the wood could lay flat while it dries. Right now I just have some oak boards, but soon I’ll have cherry and maple. Someday the maple will be part of a guitar!
